Creating and Using Email Accounts
Create a mailbox
- Open DirectAdmin and select your domain.
- Go to E-mail Manager → E-mail Accounts and create a new account.
- Enter the mailbox name, choose a unique password and set a storage limit within your available space.
- Save it and use the webmail link to test the login.
Connect an email app
Use the server names, ports and encryption settings provided for your hosting account. The username is normally the full email address. Use the mailbox password, not your DirectAdmin or Client Area password, and enable authentication for outgoing SMTP.
Email not working?
Check the password, mailbox storage and the domain's MX records. If your DNS is managed somewhere else, the mail records need to be added there.
Use the SPF and DKIM records provided for your service. Do not create a second SPF record; update the existing one so every authorised sender is included.
For delivery problems, send support the sender, recipient, time and full bounce message. Leave out your password.
